Valley View Stud is a livery yard / livery stables situated in Bishops Waltham, Hampshire. We are well placed for serving the local community livery needs.
Valley View Stud is a family-run business and prides itself on offering individual bespoke care to suit each individual horse and rider. We offer a flexible livery service to suit your ever changing requirements through the seasons and as work or childcare pull on your time. We spend time caring for every horse as if it were our own.
Clarissa and Chris Dugmore purchased Suetts Field in 2005 to pursue their dream of owning a stable yard. Valley View Stud opened as a commercial livery yard in August 2008. Subsequently in 2009 we were granted permission to extend our business into commercial breeding enabling us to pursue our desire to breed Connemara Ponies.
Our aim is to breed true to type ‘old fashioned’ Connemara Ponies and have purchased our foundation stock with this in mind, we have sought quality ponies with excellent temperaments and plenty of bone. Connemara’s are fantastic, popular family ponies that are ridden by children and adults alike. They are a very versatile breed competing in showing, show jumping, dressage and eventing. Typical characterises that Connemara’s are known for are; a good temperament, hardiness and staying power, intelligence, soundness, surefootedness and their jumping ability.
